About Us

The Walpole RoboRebels, FIRST team 1153 of Walpole, Massachusetts, have been a team since 2002.  Since then, we have grown from a couple of teenage kids and a visionary teacher to a much larger group that involves mentors, parent volunteers, and of course the students themselves.  In the beginning, we struggled as we adapted to the FIRST environment, but with each passing year we have risen to the challenge.  In 2007, we made it into the top 10th percentile and we hope to be just as successful in the next few years.

For years we have reached out to the community by going to the younger elementary schools in our town.  Every week, Juniors and Seniors from our team help the younger students learn about technology through the FIRST Junior LEGO League.  We hope to reach out to the younger students so that engineering and technology can spread through our community.
